reflective embroidery thread

I am absolutely thrilled with this reflective embroidery yarn! It's like nothing I've ever seen before. The gold color is stunning, and the reflective properties are just amazing. I've been using it to add some extra flair to my embroidery projects, and the way it catches the light is so eye-catching. It's definitely become a staple in my crafting stash!

This thread is really cool, but I had a hard time with it.

I’m making a quilt for my future grandson and hoped this would work great to quilt it with so that it would glow on his outer space themed quilt. After two hours of working on tension and broken thread over and over I got pretty frustrated. I’ve included a picture of the quilt partially quilted with this thread. You can see it reflecting, but that was all I got done in an hour and a half. I do not have an embroidery machine so I can’t tell you how it works in an embroidery machine. You will definitely need to make sure you have the right size needle and your machine is set to handle this thread. In my sewing machine while quilting, you will see in my photos, the thread begins to pucker and come apart as it goes through the machine machine before getting to the needle. This thread is super cool if you can get it to work properly. One of the questions for the review was is it worth the price? I guess it would depend on what you’re doing with it and if it works for you. It would be good if you are hand, embroidering something small, and want to add some little pop to something. Just make sure not to put too much thread on your needle. Pulling it through the fabric could weaken the thread. In that case, you will have to re-thread your needle quite often.

Really cool thread and huge amounts

I have never thought about reflective thread before, but when I saw this I had to check it out. I think it's really cool. I have used a lot of threads in my life but never reflective threads. I can't attest to how reflective it is but it seems to be very reflective. As thread, I will say it seems to be good quality. There are a lot of spools included, each is a large spool and there are 12 of them. The thread seems thick and strong. I'm planning to use this in the dog costumes I am going to make. Overall I really like this and definitely recommend it.
