Has a shimmery, "AB" style look to it in daylight; glows nicely after being charged up. Nice big spool, plenty for larger projects (unlike my usual tiny spools of glow in the dark thread)

this is...very interesting. I loved how even though it had been safely packaged and sitting in my dark mailbox, it still showed up glowing (see my pic for proof). It's BRIGHT!
It's much thicker than typical cotton-based threads. I'd say it almost has a plastic-y feel, like fishing line almost (but not as rigid). It is REALLY cool though.
I'm not sure how well it'd do on a domestic sewing machine bobbin, so I'm using it only as top-thread for sewing. It's worked well, with tension adjustments.
it's more than I'd generally pay for novelty items like this, but you get a ton. And it's super fun!
