What is glow-in-the-dark yarn made of?

Our glow-in-the-dark yarn contains strontium aluminate phosphorescent pigment blended into acrylic or polyester fibers.

How long does glow-in-the-dark yarn actually glow?

Charge under sunlight, LED or UV light. Charge time and afterglow vary by yarn, color and light source; recharge before use for the brightest effect.

Is glow-in-the-dark yarn machine washable?

Check the product page and care label. Many glow yarns are machine washable cold; some specialty yarns are hand wash only. Glow performance may weaken after repeated washing.

Is glow-in-the-dark yarn safe for children and baby items?

For baby items and children's products, follow the yarn label and the safety requirements for your market, and use adult supervision. We do not make a toy-safety or medical claim; contact us for product-specific certification details.

What crochet hook or knitting needle size works best?

For worsted weight glow yarn: 3.5-5.0 mm hook (E/4 to H/8 US). For chunky glow chenille: 6.0-8.0 mm. Standard knitting needles in similar sizes. Check individual product descriptions.
